BRIEF
Our brief was to design a campaign raising awareness of modern slavery in Aotearoa and inspire action against it.
SOLUTION
#SHINEALIGHT exposes the hidden exploitation of vulnerable migrants through victims stories and shocking statistics. The visual identity uses light and dark to contrast the promises migrants are sold with the reality they face.
Targeting successful migrants, the messaging aims to build a community of allies that recognises exploitation, stands with victims, and demands accountability.
As modern slavery specialist Gary Shaw, who we spoke to, asks: “If our trade, prosperity and growth is built on the backs of people in slavery, what kind of ‘success’ are we celebrating in New Zealand?”
